Yes. UKey Wallet supports a software-only mode that lets you create accounts, send/receive assets, and explore DApps without any hardware. However, software wallets store private keys locally on your phone — for high-value assets we recommend pairing UKey hardware with the App for physical cold signing.
Absolutely not. UKey uses fully local key management: in hardware mode private keys live permanently inside an offline secure chip; in software mode they stay in your phone's secure sandbox. UKey servers never touch your private keys or seed phrase.
No sensitive data is collected. UKey Wallet requires no account registration, phone number, or email to use. Only when you actively initiate a transaction does it communicate with public nodes — all traffic is encrypted and compliant with GDPR and other major privacy standards.
