Protect your assets with SignGuard: Risk Alert + Clear Signing
Traditional hardware wallets can protect your private keys, but they do not cover all transaction risks.
Many users still fall victim to phishing, malicious authorization, or blind signatures, resulting in asset loss.
UKey Signature Protection System combines SignGuard Risk Alert to help you detect hidden threats, and Clear Signing to make every transaction easier to understand, making the signing process more secure and controllable.
What are SignGuard and Clear Signing?
SignGuard is a protection system for signature risks, developed by cryptographic security experts at UKey Anzen Security Lab.
It analyzes contracts, tokens, and DApp in real-time to help you identify hidden risks before signing.
It works between the UKey App and hardware device to automatically detect suspicious transactions and malicious contracts before you confirm them.
Meanwhile, UKey's Clear Signing feature parses transaction data so you can understand what you're signing.
Together they provide two layers of protection: readable transparency + real-time risk identification.
How SignGuard and Clear Signing work together
UKey Apps and hardware wallets both have built-in SignGuard and Clear Signing.
They provide real-time risk detection and human-readable transaction preview before signing, making the entire process more transparent and secure.
They allow you to more accurately see upcoming actions and block or alert certain high-risk transactions before they reach the signing stage.
1) In the app: SignGuard + Clear Signing
UKey The App simulates and displays key details of each on-chain transaction, including:
· Smart contract methods (transfer, authorization, Permit, Delegatecall)
· Authorization amount and target address
· Contract name (instead of confusing hex address)
It also integrates GoPlus, Blockaid and ScamSniffer to detect malicious contracts, fake coins, phishing websites and suspicious contract behavior.
These services provide real-time risk alerts before you sign anything.
✅ Clear Signing helps you understand your trades, while SignGuard provides risk assessment behind the scenes.
2) Using hardware wallet (if available): offline Clear Signing and final physical confirmation
When using a hardware wallet, the device independently simulates the transaction locally and displays a trusted, readable summary on the screen, including the transaction method, amount, recipient or spender, and contract name.
Even if your computer or browser is compromised, you can still verify transaction intent on a securely isolated hardware device.
The final confirmation must be completed on the hardware wallet to ensure that what you see is what you sign is truly achieved and the process is verifiable and confirmable.
Why SignGuard is important
Many users think that "using a hardware wallet is foolproof, " but this is not the case.
In real-life phishing cases, attackers often lure users to fake DApp or malicious websites, tricking them into signing transactions that appear normal but are actually:
·Grants full token access to the attacker (Full Authorization)
· Authorization to hide malicious addresses
· On the surface, you are receiving NFT, but in fact you are transferring assets or initiating authorization
Since most wallets only display obfuscated data such as transaction hashes, users cannot understand what they are signing - a vulnerability that attackers love to exploit.
Blind signing is like signing a check without seeing the amount or payee, and it's easy for users to sign incorrectly without knowing.
SignGuard's real-time risk detection identifies phishing attempts, questionable authorizations, and unusual contract methods before you sign.
Clear Signing helps you fully understand each transaction and avoid misoperations due to unreadable data.
Not all "signature previews" are trusted
Some wallets claim to support "Clear Signing" or "Transparent Preview", but most only work with limited chain or contract types.
There are not many wallets that truly have both real-time risk detection and consistent verification capabilities for apps and hardware.
Only Clear Signing + SignGuard risk alerts for UKey provide the following three key features:
Features | Ordinary Wallet | UKey SignGuard |
Transaction Analysis | Limited support | ✅ Supports mainstream chains and methods (App + hardware) |
Phishing Detection | ❌ Not supported | ✅ Live Alerts Powered by SignGuard |
Note: UKey SignGuard The risk warning system will continue to expand its coverage. Currently supports Ethereum, BNB Chain, Tron and common methods. Some complex or rare contract calls may not yet be supported.
How to use SignGuard and Clear Signing
Using SignGuard Risk Alert and Clear Signing is easy:
Install or update to the latest UKey Wallet App (iOS, Android or desktop)
Connect your UKey Core 26
When you interact, transfer or authorize any DApp,
SignGuard is automatically activated, showing risk warnings and detailed transaction analysis (Clear Signing). After review, confirm the transaction on your hardware wallet
Currently the following networks are supported:
Ethereum
BNB Chain
Polygon
Arbitrum
Optimism
Base
Scroll
More networks will be supported in the future.
