This document is intended to provide you with standard troubleshooting and repair solutions for UKey Core 26 hardware devices that encounter underlying errors or persistent prompts of "update failed" through the UKey Wallet client when upgrading firmware (especially the target version ≥ 1.1.0).
Please follow the following two solutions to troubleshoot the operation.
Solution 1: Improve the client to run Permissions (applicable to desktop system)
The Permissions interception at the bottom of the system may prevent the client from properly calling the USB communication interface or writing to a temporary file.
Operation steps:
Completely close the currently running UKey Wallet client program.
Find the startup icon of UKey Wallet on the desktop or application directory, right-click the mouse, and select [Run as administrator].
Try the version upgrade process within the client again.
If the system still reports the same error, please abandon this method and implement option two.
Option 2: Perform underlying offline repair through firmware package
When the client's automatic update link is blocked, you can manually obtain resources and perform low-level read and write repairs on the device by accessing the UKey official CDN resource library. This plan contains two parts: System resource deployment with Core firmware flash.
Phase 1: Deploy underlying system resources (Resource)
This step is intended to repair missing or damaged UI and system underlying resource files within the hardware.
Get resource pack: Visit the UKey official CDN directory and navigate to
Core 26 > latest firmware > fullResourcePath to download the complete system resource compressed package.local preprocessing: Unzip the downloaded compressed package, and be sure to rename the resource folder generated after decompression to
res(all lowercase).Connect and mount devices:
Manually switch in the UKey Core 26 hardware device [Storage Mode].
Use the original data cable to connect the device to the computer.
In the operating system's explorer, find and open the mount named
UKey DATAexternal removable disk.
Write resource file:
System requirements: Please make sure that the "Show hidden files and folders" function is turned on in your computer operating system.
prepared in advance
resfolder, copy and paste directly intoUKey DATADisk root directory.
Restart takes effect: After the data writing is completed, safely eject the device and long press the power button on the physical device to restart the UKey Core 26.
Phase 2: Flashing the core firmware (Firmware)
This step will use local files to update the device core driver and protocol.
Get firmware ontology: Visit the UKey official CDN directory again and navigate to
Core 26 > latest firmware > urlPath to download the latest version.binFormat firmware file.Start offline installation: Use your browser to visit the UKey official online firmware installation and repair tool page.
Import and perform flashing:
Click on the tools page [Select local file] button.
In the file manager that pops up, select the file you just downloaded
.binfirmware file.Keep the device connection stable, strictly follow the communication interaction guidelines on the page, and wait for the progress bar to complete to complete the final underlying firmware flash.
