This function verifies the device serial number of the hardware online through an encryption protocol to confirm the authenticity of the device.
1. Anti-counterfeiting verification core security statement
Full SegWit: The anti-counterfeiting verification process only reads and verifies the physical serial number (Serial Number) of the hardware device. The entire interaction process not touched at all And cannot access the core encryption area inside the security chip (SE).
Asset security: When performing anti-counterfeiting verification, the mnemonic words and private keys stored in the device are always in a state of absolute physical isolation, and there is no risk of leakage.
2. Verification operation steps
Whether you use a desktop client, mobile app or browser plug-in, the underlying logic and operation steps of anti-counterfeiting verification remain the same. Please follow these guidelines:
Access device: Use the original data cable to connect the UKey hardware wallet to the computer, or establish a connection with the mobile client via Bluetooth.
Location management menu: Open the UKey Wallet client, click on the upper left corner or top of the interface [Account name].
Enter device editing: In the pop-up wallet list, select the hardware wallet device that you currently need to perform anti-counterfeiting verification, and click on the right side of it. [Edit] button.
Initiate authentication request: In the device management options, click and select [Device (Verification Device Authentication)/Device Attestation].
Physical confirmation signature: At this point, a verification confirmation prompt will pop up on your UKey hardware wallet physical screen. Please check and click on the hardware device [Confirm] button.
Get verification results: The client will automatically complete the serial number comparison with the official security server, and return the authenticity verification status report of the hardware device on the interface in real time.
