Protect assets with SignGuard: Risk warning + Clear Signing
Traditional hardware wallet can protect your private key, but it does not cover all trading risks.
Many users still fall victim to phishing, malicious approval or blind signatures, resulting in asset losses.
The UKey signature protection system combines SignGuard Risk Warning and Clear Signing: the former helps you detect hidden threats, and the latter makes every transaction easier to understand, making the signing process more secure and controllable.
What are SignGuard and Clear Signing?
SignGuard It is a protection system for signature risks, developed by UKey Anzen Security Lab Developed by encryption security experts.
It analyzes contracts, token and DApps in real time to help you identify hidden risks before signing.
It works collaboratively between the UKey App and hardware devices to automatically detect suspicious transactions and malicious contracts before you confirm them.
Meanwhile, UKey's Clear Signing Features can parse transaction data so you can understand what you are signing.
Together they provide two layers of protection: Readable transparency + real-time risk identification.
How SignGuard and Clear Signing work together
Both UKey App and hardware wallet are built-in SignGuard with Clear Signing.
Before signing, they will provide Real-time risk detection and Human-readable transaction preview, making the entire process more transparent and safer.
They allow you to more accurately see upcoming actions and block or alert certain high-risk transactions before they reach the signing stage.
1) In the App: SignGuard + Clear Signing
The UKey App simulates and displays the key details of every on-chain transaction, including:
· Smart contract methods (transfer, approval, Permit, Delegatecall)
· approval amount and target address
· Contract name (instead of the confusing hex address)
It also integrates GoPlus, Blockaid and ScamSniffer to detect malicious contracts, fake token, phishing websites and suspicious contract behavior and provide it before any signing Real-time risk alerts.
✅ Clear Signing helps you understand your trades, while SignGuard provides risk assessment behind the scenes.
2) Using hardware wallet (if available): offline Clear Signing and final physical confirmation
When using hardware wallet, the device independently simulates the transaction locally and displays a trustworthy, readable summary on the screen, including the transaction method, amount, recipient or payer, and contract name.
Even if your computer or browser is compromised, you can still verify transaction intent on a securely isolated hardware device.
Final confirmation must be done on hardware wallet to ensure it is truly What you see is what you sign, and make the process verifiable and confirmable.
Why SignGuard is important
Many users think that "using hardware wallet is foolproof", but this is not the case.
In real-life phishing cases, attackers often lure users to visit fake DApps or malicious websites, tricking them into signing transactions that appear to be normal but are actually:
Grants attacker full token access to Permissions (full approval)
·approval hidden malicious address
· On the surface, you are receiving NFT, but in fact you are transferring assets or launching approval
Since most wallets only display obfuscated data such as transaction hashes, users cannot understand what they are signing - a vulnerability that attackers love to exploit.
Blind signing is like signing a check without seeing the amount or payee, and it's easy for users to sign incorrectly without knowing.
Real-time risk detection for SignGuard Identify phishing attempts, suspicious approval and unusual contract methods before you sign.
Clear Signing This will help you fully understand each transaction and avoid misoperations due to unreadable data.
Not all "signature previews" are trusted
Some wallets claim to support "Clear Signing" or "Transparent Preview", but most only work with limited chain or contract types.
There are not many wallets that truly have both real-time risk detection and consistent verification capabilities for apps and hardware.
only Clear Signing + SignGuard Risk Alert for UKey It also provides the following three key functions:
Function | Ordinary wallet | UKey SignGuard |
Transaction analysis | Limited support | ✅ Supports mainstream chains and methods (App + hardware) |
phishing detection | ❌ Not supported | ✅ Live Alerts Powered by SignGuard |
Note: The UKey SignGuard risk warning system will continue to expand its coverage. Currently supports Ethereum, BNB Chain, Tron and common methods. Some complex or rare contract calls may not yet be supported.
How to use SignGuard and Clear Signing
Use SignGuard Risk Warning and Clear Signing Very simple:
Install or update to the latest UKey App(iOS, Android or desktop)
Connect your UKey Pro or UKey Classic 1S
When you interact with any DApp, transfer money or approval,
SignGuard It will be automatically activated to display risk warnings and detailed transaction analysis (Clear Signing). After review, Confirm the transaction on your hardware wallet
Supported networks include Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Scroll and more networks coming soon.
