Protect your assets with SignGuard: risk alerts + clear signing for every transaction.
Traditional hardware wallets protect your private keys — but not every transaction risk.
Many users still fall victim to phishing, malicious approvals, or blind signing that leads to asset loss.
The UKey Signature Protection System combines SignGuard risk alerts to help you detect hidden threats, and Clear Signing to make every transaction understandable — keeping each signature safer and more secure.
What is SignGuard and Clear Signing?
SignGuard is an industry-first defense system developed by the crypto security experts at UKey Anzen Security Lab.
It analyzes every contract, token, and dApp in real time to identify hidden risks before you sign.
Working in tandem between the UKey App and hardware devices, it automatically detects suspicious transactions and malicious contracts before you confirm.
Meanwhile, UKey’s Clear Signing feature fully parses transaction data, so you can read and understand what you’re signing.
Together, they provide a dual layer of protection: readable transparency + real-time defense.
How SignGuard and Clear Signing Work Together
Both the UKey App and hardware wallets come with built-in SignGuard and Clear Signing.
Before you sign, they offer real-time risk detection and human-readable transaction previews, ensuring transparency and security throughout the entire process.
They let you see exactly what’s about to happen — and can even block high-risk transactions before they reach the signing stage.
1) In the App: SignGuard + Clear Signing
The UKey App simulates and displays key details of every on-chain transaction, including:
· Smart contract methods (transfer, approve, permit, delegatecall)
· Approval amount and target address
· Contract name (instead of a confusing hexadecimal address)
It also integrates GoPlus, Blockaid, and ScamSniffer to detect malicious contracts, fake tokens, phishing sites, and suspicious contract behaviors — providing real-time risk alerts before any signature is made.
✅ Clear Signing helps you understand the transaction, while SignGuard provides risk assessment behind the scenes.
2) With a Hardware Wallet (if available): Offline Clear Signing & Final Physical Confirmation
When using a hardware wallet, it independently simulates the transaction locally and displays a trusted, human-readable summary on its screen —
the method, amount, recipient or spender, and the contract name.
Even if your computer or browser is compromised, you can still verify intent on the secure, isolated hardware device.
Final confirmation must be done on the hardware wallet, ensuring true What You See Is What You Sign, with a fully verifiable and secure process.cure.
Why SignGuard Matters
Many users assume that “using a hardware wallet means absolute safety” — but that’s not true.
In real phishing cases, attackers often lure users to fake DApps or malicious websites, tricking them into signing a transaction that looks normal but actually:
· Grants full token access to an attacker (approve all)
· Authorizes a hidden malicious address
· Appears to claim an NFT but actually transfers assets or approvals
Because most wallets only show vague data like transaction hashes, users can’t understand what they’re signing — a loophole attackers love to exploit.
Blind signing is like signing a check without seeing the amount or recipient — anyone can be a victim.
SignGuard’s real-time risk detection identifies phishing attempts, suspicious approvals, and abnormal contract methods before you sign.
Clear Signing ensures you fully understand each transaction, preventing errors caused by unreadable data.
Not All “Signing Previews” Can Be Trusted
Some wallets claim to support “clear signing” or “transparent previews,” but most only work for limited chains or contract types.
Few include live risk detection or consistent App-to-hardware verification.
Only UKey’s Clear Signing + SignGuard Risk Alerts deliver all three key capabilities:
Feature | Ordinary Wallets | UKey SignGuard |
Transaction Parsing | Limited support | ✅ Supports major chains & methods (App + hardware) |
Phishing Detection | ❌ Not supported | ✅ Real-time alerts powered by SignGuard |
Note: The UKey SignGuard risk alert system continues to expand coverage. It currently supports Ethereum, BNB Chain, Tron, and most commonly used methods. Some complex or rare contract calls may not yet be supported.
How to Use SignGuard and Clear Signing
Using SignGuard Risk Alerts and Clear Signing is simple:
1. Install or update to the latest UKey App (iOS, Android, or desktop)
2. Connect your UKey Pro or UKey Classic 1S
3. When you interact with any DApp, transfer, or approval,
SignGuard automatically activates, displaying risk warnings and detailed transaction parsing (Clear Signing)
4. After reviewing, confirm the transaction on your hardware wallet
Supported networks include Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Scroll, and more coming soon.ed.
